Kafta Burgers

Ingredients:

For the Kafta Burgers:

•⁠ ⁠1 lb ground beef (80–85% lean)

•⁠ ⁠¼ cup chopped parsley

•⁠ ⁠1 small yellow onion, minced

•⁠ ⁠1 tsp allspice (or ideally bhar 7elo/Lebanese sweet spice if available)

•⁠ ⁠½ tsp black pepper

•⁠ ⁠½ tsp cinnamon

•⁠ ⁠1 tsp salt

For the Tahini Slaw:

•⁠ ⁠2 cups shredded cabbage

•⁠ ⁠1 medium carrot, shredded

•⁠ ⁠4 tbsp Beituti Lemon Tahini Sauce

•⁠ ⁠1 tbsp olive oil

•⁠ ⁠Pinch of salt

For Assembly:

•⁠ ⁠4 brioche burger buns

•⁠ ⁠Extra Beituti Lemon Tahini Sauce for drizzling

Directions:

1.⁠ ⁠Finely chop the parsley and onion by hand or pulse in a food processor.

2.⁠ ⁠Add the ground beef, parsley, onion, spices, and salt to a large bowl and mix until well combined.

3.⁠ ⁠Form into burger patties (about 4–5 oz each), making them slightly larger than your burger buns.

4.⁠ ⁠Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and cook for 3–4 minutes per side.

5.⁠ ⁠Toss the cabbage and carrot with the olive oil, salt, and 4 tbsp of Beituti Lemon Tahini Sauce.

6.⁠ ⁠Assemble the burgers on toasted brioche buns with the kafta patty, tahini slaw, and an extra drizzle of Beituti Lemon Tahini Sauce.
