Garlic Shrimp Skewers
These Garlic Shawarma Grilled Shrimp Skewers are the perfect quick and flavorful dish for your next cookout or weeknight dinner. Ingredients:
1 pound jumbo raw shrimp, tails on and deveined
4 tbsp Garlic Shawarma Marinade
2 tsp honey
Directions:
Heat grill to medium-high/high. Clean grates and then rub oil on grates
In a low, wide medium-sized bowl, combine the marinade and honey (honey helps the shrimp develop some charring since the cook too fast to char on their own!)
Add the shrimp to the bowl and fold gently to coat the shrimp evenly
Thread the shrimp into skewers
Place shrimp on the hot grill grates and cook for 3 minutes, or until they have some char. Flip shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes, or just until shrimp are no longer translucent. Take care to not overcook. Smaller shrimp will take less time.
Serve immediately as an appetizer, main or salad topper!
